SQL 2 Excel - Installation Instructions PDF Print E-mail

New Installation

  1. Download the Component

    SQL 2 Excel Download Page

  2. Go to Joomla Administrator and select Extensions > Install/Uninstall

    extensions_install_uninstall

  3. If you have had any previous version of SQL 2 Excel installed, please see "Upgrading from and older version of SQL 2 Excel" below.

  4. Choose Install. Browse and locate the SQL 2 Excel Component zip file. Upload the file and install it

  5. Done!  If you need help getting started, click on the "Add Sample Data" button to look at some examples, or go through the Tutorial.



    Optionally

  6. Install the Module the same way

  7. Go to Extensions > Module Manager

    extensions_module_manager

  8. Locate SQL 2 Excel Module and Publish it

    extension_module_manager_sql2excel

  9. Select the menu Components > SQL 2 Excel to go to the SQL 2 Excel control panel.


Upgrading and older version of SQL 2 Excel

  1. Download the Component!

    SQL 2 Excel Download Page

  2. Go to Joomla Administrator and select Extensions > Install/Uninstall

    extensions_install_uninstall

  3. Uninstall the Component. Please note that your data (Workbooks, Worksheets etc) will NOT be lost.

  4. Choose Install. Browse and locate the SQL 2 Excel Component zip file. Upload the file and install it


    Optionally

  5. Uninstall / Install the Module the same way

  6. Go to Extensions > Module Manager

    extensions_module_manager

  7. Locate SQL 2 Excel Module and Publish it

    extension_module_manager_sql2excel

  8. Select the menu Components > SQL 2 Excel to go to the SQL 2 Excel control panel.

  9. If the database tables needs to be updated then you'll see a message like this:

    sql2excel_upgrade_msg_thumb

    Click on Upgrade Now! button to upgrade your database tables.

  10. Done!
